Farming Futures Careers Fair and Industry Dinner

Farming Futures Events Connecting Students to Careers in Agriculture Farming Futures Careers Fair and Industry Dinner will be held on the 28th of July 2017 at the University of New England, Armidale.

Farming Futures Chairperson, Kelly Gorter believes that events like Farming Futures provide the perfect opportunity for students and those already in the industry, to interact, build connections and explore pathways in agriculture.

Agriculture based companies come to the events to show what careers their company can offer to the next generation.

For many companies it is a way of attracting future talent to their business and many companies have participated since the event was established in 2011.

Recent UNE graduate Kate Shooter and current agronomist on the Darling Downs, she used the event when she was studying to find which companies she wanted to apply for.

“I knew what I wanted to do but being able to talk to companies gave me the guidance I needed when applying for my current position Kate said.

Last year the events attracted more than five hundred students and had twenty five companies represented.
