After a week in Sydney (3-7 July) Enactus UNE has returned as Semifinalists in this years Enactus Australia National Conference and Competition.

The purpose of this conference was the showcasing of the last 12 months worth of efforts from the Enactus UNE team in the form of a 17 minute presentation, which was performed gallantly by conference veterans Koady Humphreys (President), Hayden Gray, Sarah-Jane Bowers, and newcomers Rachel Hughes and Millie Brisset. This years presentation focused on the team's major projects, NERI - New England Innovation Project, which aims to bring innovative change to the online presence of businesses in the New England, and the Clean Earth Initiative, a new collective of projects by the UNE team that is recycling and repurposing food waste into valuable and resellable products, with the goal of reducing the amount that enters landfill.

The conference offered the opportunity for students to network with business professionals from a range of disciplines, students reported meeting and networking with people such as KPMG partner Trent Duval, Anna-Maree Dowd of CSIRO, and Tom McGinness of CSIRO as the highlight of the event. Beyond networking, students were involved in intensive workshops that focused on personal brand development, resume building, project management, and strategic planning, all worthwhile resources for their future careers across a variety of disciplines.
